In this role, you'll work within our Certification Team, gaining exposure to a broad range of specialist engineering disciplines that underpin airworthiness, safety, and operational compliance. This is a unique opportunity to see how systems engineering and certification activities come together to support a complex Defence aviation capability. You'll be supported by experienced engineers and will contribute to real engineering outputs that directly support fleet operations and serviceability. What y ou'll b e d oing As a Systems Engineer (Certification) Intern, you will: Support the development ofcertification artefacts, such as design classifications, specifications,engineeringand technical reports Assistwithtest plans, test reports, and engineering documentation under supervision from senior engineers Contribute to incorporating engineering changes into the system, including reviewing and consuming international technical and design data Support the capture and management ofsystem and functional requirementswithin a requirements management tool Help developwork instructions and templatesto ensure compliance with certification responsibilities and accountabilities Work alongside engineers across systems,safety, structural integrity, test and evaluation, and certification disciplines This 12 week internship is designed to help you learn, grow, and gain confidence in a real Defence engineering environment. This role is based at our Edinburgh base in Adelaide, South Australia . Eligibility requirements: We're looking for motivated students with an interest in systems engineering, certification, and Defence aviation. Ideally, you'll bring: Current study inAerospace, Systems, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Software, or Avionics Engineering 2nd, 3rd, or 4th yearstanding at university A basic understanding ofsystems engineering principles, including system architecture and interfaces An interest in requirements management and the engineering lifecycle (requirements, design, compliance, verification & validation) Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn in a regulated engineering environment Ability to work full-time over theallocatedinternship period If you're ready to apply your engineering studies in a real Defence environment and learn from some of the best in the industry, we'd love to hear from you.
