Regional Local Government | Transport & Drainage Assets | Hybrid Work | Paying $80 - $90 p/h super Your new local council An opportunity is available for a Senior Asset Engineer professional to join a regional local government organisation on a temporary basis between 6 and 12 months to lead the development and completion of key Asset Management Plans. This role has been created to provide dedicated capacity to deliver strategic planning documentation within defined timeframes. Your new role You will take responsibility for: A Transport Asset Management Plan (roads, paths and related assets already in progress), and A Drainage Asset Management Plan (urban drainage and WSUD not yet commenced) Candidates with strong experience in either transport or drainage assets are encouraged to apply and expertise across both is not essential, with internal technical support available. Key responsibilities: Lead development and completion of Transport and Drainage Asset Management Plans Translate existing asset data, registers and renewal forecasts into AMP documentation Ensure compliance with organisational templates and contemporary asset management standards Prepare internal briefings and reports to support plan adoption Collaborate with engineering, asset and GIS teams Support limited stakeholder and community engagement activities as required Potential involvement in additional asset classes (e.g. BMX or other infrastructure) if time permits What you'll need to succeed Experience delivering Asset Management Plans in a council or infrastructure context Background in civil, transport, drainage or infrastructure asset management Strong documentation and reportwriting capability Comfortable working autonomously with minimal supervision Familiarity with asset management systems is beneficial but not essential What you'll get in return Temporary role 6 to 12 months Highly flexible hybrid working arrangements Paying between $80 - $90 p/h super Work on exciting projects What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV or send direct to [email protected].
