Tell me about this role: Amentum are seeking an NV1 cleared Security Accreditation expert to support the secure operation, accreditation and sustainment of the Modelling and Operational Analysis Simulation System (MOASS) simulation environment. You will be responsible for maintaining Authority To Operate (ATO) compliance, delivering technical and scripting expertise, and ensuring the system remains secure, reliable and operationally available for Defence training and test activities. This Newcastle based role works closely with security authorities, engineers and operators, balancing accreditation obligations with operational needs. What will I be doing day to day? Author, maintain and manage MOASS security accreditation documentation to support ATO under ISM and SAPMAN Liaise with authorising security delegates to progress assessment, approvals and remediation activities Provide support across simulation software, networks and complex engineering systems Diagnose and resolve hardware/software interaction issues, including break/fix, patches and upgrades Establish and control system configurations, baselines and documentation Administer MOASS systems including user access, security settings, service packs and hot fixes Monitor system performance, capacity and availability to ensure operational readiness Manage obsolescence and upgrade planning to ensure long‑term system sustainability Support ongoing ICT security accreditation maintenance and compliance activities Who we’re Looking For: You are a highly capable technical specialist with experience operating in secure, regulated ICT environments, able to work independently on complex systems. You bring strong stakeholder engagement skills and can communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical audiences. Experience supporting system accreditation, sustainment and operational use within Defence or government environments will be highly regarded. What sort of skills do I need? Degree qualifications and relevant security certifications Strong experience in secure ICT or simulation systems, ideally in Defence or classified environments Proven ability to deliver security accreditation artefacts supporting ATO decisions Strong understanding of ICT security frameworks, especially ISM and SAPMAN Strong stakeholder engagement skills, particularly with security authorities and operators Australian citizenship, TSPV Security clearance and ITAR compliance What’s in it for me?
