East Maitland, NSW (Hybrid) Competitive salary benefits career growth Azure | Automation | Enterprise Infrastructure | Transformation Our Opportunity We’re looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our growing IT team and play a key role in shaping and optimising our enterprise technology environment. This is a hands-on, senior technical role where you’ll design, build and continuously improve our Microsoft cloud and network infrastructure , supporting a national healthcare organisation undergoing exciting transformation. Working closely with our Head of Cyber Security & Enterprise Infrastructure, you’ll help deliver scalable, secure and high-performing solutions across Azure, virtual environments, endpoints, and networking — with a strong focus on automation and modern best practices. What You’ll Be Doing Cloud & Azure Infrastructure Manage and optimise Azure services including subscriptions, policies and access controls Administer Microsoft Entra ID and identity governance in a hybrid environment Design secure access frameworks in partnership with cyber security Virtual Desktop & Compute (AVD / VM) Manage AVD environments including host pools, session hosts and performance Oversee VM lifecycle including scaling, patching and image management Deliver reliable, high-performing virtual infrastructure across distributed sites Endpoint & Device Management Manage MDM environments across Windows and mobile devices Improve and automate device provisioning and enrolment Support endpoint security uplift aligned with Essential Eight Networking & Connectivity Support SD-WAN environments and site connectivity across national locations Contribute to “site-in-a-box” deployments for new and existing centres Maintain secure, zero-trust aligned network configurations Automation & Continuous Improvement Build PowerShell scripts to automate infrastructure and reporting Contribute to infrastructure-as-code practices (Bicep, ARM templates) Identify opportunities to streamline operations and reduce manual effort What You Bring 10 years’ experience in infrastructure engineering, with strong Azure expertise Proven experience with Microsoft Entra ID, AVD, MDM/RMM and cloud platforms Strong PowerShell scripting and automation capability Experience working with enterprise networking or SD-WAN environments A security-first mindset with exposure to identity-driven and zero-trust frameworks Nice to have: Experience with IaC tools (Bicep, ARM) Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-140) Exposure to PKI / certificate-based authentication Why Join Us?
