About the Role We’re looking for an experienced Lead .NET Software Engineer to help extend and modernise our application ecosystem. This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you will take ownership of outcomes, guide architectural decisions, and support the growth of junior engineers. You’ll work across a diverse and evolving technology landscape, contributing to both legacy systems and modern cloud-native solutions as we continue our transition to scalable, containerised platforms. Key Responsibilities Lead the design, development, and delivery of high-quality software solutions Take ownership of technical outcomes, driving work from concept through to production Mentor and support other developers, uplifting team capability and coding standards Contribute to architectural decisions across legacy and modern platforms Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver scalable, resilient systems Promote best practices in software development, testing, and deployment About You You are a confident and capable engineer who combines strong technical expertise with a practical, outcomes-focused mindset. You will bring: Strong experience across the .NET ecosystem, including .NET Framework and .NET Core / modern .NET Exposure to both legacy systems (e.g. Web Forms) and modern architectures Experience with cloud-based and containerised environments (e.g. Azure, Docker, Kubernetes) Solid understanding of software design principles such as TDD, DDD, and dependency injection Experience working with distributed systems and event-driven architectures Familiarity with CI/CD tools and infrastructure-as-code practices (e.g. Azure DevOps, TeamCity, Octopus, Terraform) Strong communication skills and the ability to mentor and guide others We value engineers who can clearly explain their thinking, challenge assumptions, and make well-reasoned technical decisions—not just follow trends. A formal degree is not required; we value practical experience and demonstrated capability.
