System Administrator Contract: Now - EOFY 12-month extension extremely likely Location: Sydney (on-site) We're looking for a System Administrator to support a Defence environment. You'll be responsible for maintaining secure, stable, and high-performing infrastructure across systems, networks, and virtual platforms. What you'll be doing Maintain and support Windows Server 2022 and RHEL 8 environments Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy Support VMware & Hyper-V virtual environments Administer Veeam backups and support disaster recovery activities Configure and troubleshoot Cisco networks and FortiGate firewalls Support LAN/WAN/VPN infrastructure with a focus on uptime and security Monitor systems, apply patches, and optimise performance Automate tasks using PowerShell and Bash Provide Tier 2/3 support and contribute to documentation Work with stakeholders and vendors across incidents and change processes What you'll bring 5 years' experience in Systems Administration Strong Windows and/or Linux (RHEL) background Hands-on experience with virtualisation, backup, and networking technologies Solid understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and VPNs Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills All applications should include your resume as a word document.
