About the Role An exciting opportunity is available for a Senior Data Engineer to join a growing Information Technology team within a large, enterprise environment. In this role, you will play a key part in executing the organisation's data strategy, contributing to the design, build, and ongoing enhancement of an Enterprise Data Warehouse. You'll work closely with engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable data solutions that support advanced analytics and decision-making. This position sits within a Claims-focused enterprise squad, supporting a major transformation initiative. You will be involved in migrating and modernising data pipelines (including large volumes of SharePoint-based data) into Snowflake, modelling data, and enabling analytics capabilities for business users. This is a greenfield project, offering the opportunity to shape new solutions while leveraging existing platforms and best practices already established across the organisation. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data warehouse solutions Develop and optimise data models to support analytics and reporting use cases Work with stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality data solutions Contribute to DataOps/DevOps practices, including pull requests, deployments, and CI/CD processes Support and continuously improve existing data pipelines and warehouse structures Collaborate within an agile delivery environment to deliver incremental value What We're Looking For 7-8 years' experience in data engineering or data warehousing roles Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, DBT, and SQL (essential) Solid experience with DataOps/DevOps practices, ideally within an Azure environment Proven experience in data modelling and enterprise data warehouse design End-to-end data warehousing experience (ETL/ELT, modelling, reporting/analytics enablement) Experience working with SQL-based data tools and modern data platforms Exposure to AWS is beneficial Experience with Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) is highly regarded Background in insurance or claims data is preferred Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capability (including working in environments with AI-assisted tooling) Experience working in agile frameworks (e.g. SAFe) Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders Why Apply?
