Auto req ID 1113BR Job Description Join the Construction Revolution: Data Engineer (Microsoft Fabric) Ready to build something from the ground up? We aren't just talking about infrastructure—we’re talking about the future of our data. The SEE Way SEE Group is a family-built company with over 35 years of experience in delivering excellence across civil construction, mining, and infrastructure. At SEE Group, we don’t just build projects - we build careers. Be part of a down-to-earth, supportive team that values diversity and inclusion Benefit from career growth and tailored development opportunities Enjoy personalised rewards and recognition for your hard work Work on impactful projects that shape communities Collaborate with passionate people who bring a "boots & all" attitude to everything they do The Opportunity As the Data Engineer at SEE Group, you won't just be managing a legacy system; you will be the primary architect and builder of our brand-new Enterprise Data Warehouse. This is a rare, "greenfield" opportunity to transition our entire data estate into Microsoft Fabric, unifying insights across our entities - SEE Civil, SEE Mining, SEE Fleet, and Specialised Aggregates - into a single source of truth. This role is different! Total Ownership: You are the architect. From deploying the Microsoft Fabric environment to designing the OneLake data structures, you own the build. Cutting-Edge Tech: Forget outdated ETL. You’ll be working with a modern Medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold) and optimizing for real-time visibility through Direct Lake connectivity. The "SEE Way": We aren’t just a corporate office. We value a "Boots and All" attitude where we pitch in, own our actions, and solve problems by embracing new ideas. Tangible Impact: Your work directly enables real-time visibility into project costs, fleet health, and operational safety. What You’ll Do Build the Foundation: Deploy and manage the Fabric environment, including workspace governance and capacity monitoring. Engineer the Pipelines: Create robust ingestion pipelines using Fabric Data Factory and develop Spark-based transformation logic using Fabric Notebooks. Create Unity: Implement Shortcuts to link disparate data sources (Azure, AWS, On-prem) without unnecessary duplication. Collaborate: Partner with the Business Systems Manager and site-based Managers to translate heavy industry operations into actionable KPIs. Who You Are The Fabric Expert: You have hands-on experience with Lakehouses, Warehouses, and OneLake. A Technical Powerhouse: You’re an expert in SQL and proficient in PySpark for data engineering. A Proven Builder: You’ve delivered at least one end-to-end Data Warehouse project and have a deep understanding of Star Schema and Kimball methodologies. Mobile & Ready: You have at least 5 years of experience, a current Driver’s License, and a willingness to travel to our various sites to see the data in action. Are you ready to own it? If you are a Data Engineer who thrives in a "new role, new environment" setting and would like to play a pivotal role in the digital transformation of a leading civil construction and mining group, we want to hear from you. If you would like to join our team and hold full, unlimited working rights in Australia, we encourage you to submit your CV by clicking apply now. As an Equal Opportunity Employer, Women and People of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island heritage are strongly encouraged to apply. Interested to learn more about SEE Group? Visit our website at
