Location Flexibility While this position is based in Newcastle, NSW, Genus is also open to considering Drive-In Drive-Out (DIDO) arrangements for suitably qualified candidates, subject to project and business requirements. We are seeking a commercially minded Senior Contracts Administrator to join our team in Newcastle, NSW. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced contracts professional to contribute to the successful delivery of major infrastructure and energy projects. In this role, you will work closely with project, estimating, and commercial teams to provide end-to-end contract administration support across tendering, contract execution, claims, variations, and project delivery. Key Responsibilities Provide contract administration support across pre-contracts, tendering, estimating, and project delivery Review contract terms and conditions and identify commercial risks and opportunities Support contract negotiations, tender reviews, and commercial handovers Manage claims, variations, delays, disruptions, site instructions, and progress claims Partner with Project Managers and commercial stakeholders to ensure contract compliance and strong project outcomes Prepare and maintain high-quality commercial documentation and correspondence About You Experience in a contracts, commercial, or contract administration role Background in construction, infrastructure, energy, utilities, or resources preferred Strong knowledge of contract administration, tendering, and contract formation processes Experience managing claims, variations, delays, and contractual risk Sound understanding of the AS4000 suite of contracts Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills High attention to detail with strong organisational and time management capability Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and MS Project Desirable Qualifications in contracts, commercial/business law, or a related discipline Qualification in Project Management Experience in utilities, construction, and/or resources Knowledge of WHS, risk, environmental, and security of payment requirements What We Offer An opportunity to work on nationally significant energy and infrastructure projects A collaborative and high-performing team environment Attractive remuneration and long-term career development opportunities Exposure to complex and meaningful commercial work A business committed to safety, innovation, and continuous improvement We value diversity.
