Benefits: Supportive team environment with a strong company culture Competitive hourly rate Full-time hours (40 hours per week) Stable, long-term opportunity with a view to permanency after 6 months Overtime opportunities available Job Details Day shift: Monday – Friday 7am – 3:30pm Hourly rate: $39.85 Super Location: Smithfield NSW Immediate start for the right person About the Role: Reporting to the Production Manager, this is a hands-on role combining forklift operation with trade assistant and labouring duties within a busy steel manufacturing environment. Responsibilities & Duties Safely load, transport and position steel materials to various work areas including production machines, welding stations and designated storage locations, ensuring minimal disruption to workflow Operate a range of forklifts including 3T, side loader, 10T, and 16T units, handling long and heavy steel components with precision and care Interpret and follow Bill of Materials (BOMs) to accurately identify, pick, and allocate materials required for production Sorting and distributing cut materials Maintain a clean and safe work environment through regular housekeeping duties, including removal of scrap steel, emptying bins and keeping work areas tidy and hazard-free Assisting with general site tasks as required Confidently use a variety of hand and power tools such as drills, grinders, impact drivers, measuring equipment and more to assist assembly tasks Requirements Must have current Forklift licence (LF) and construction white card Minimum 3 years experience in counterbalance forklift operation Must be an Australian resident Willingness to learn and operate heavy forklifts and side loader Ability to conduct manual labouring duties Strong experience using various hand/power tools Strong attention to detail, commitment to safety and reliability in meeting daily operational targets Reliable, looking for long-term and to grow in the company Physically fit with the ability to lift up to 25 kgs Strong communication and teamwork skills Advantageous Heavy forklift experience Telehandler Working at heights EWP yellow card Spotter ticket If you believe you are the right fit for this opportunity, hit apply now!
