Senior Financial Accounting Manager Professional Services | Sydney or Melbourne We’re partnering with an established professional services organisation to appoint a Financial Accounting Manager into a high-performing, positive and genuinely upbeat team environment. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this is a technically focused role where you’ll lead financial reporting, technical accounting and compliance across a complex, multi-entity group. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the integrity of financial information and the consistent application of accounting standards, while also driving improvements across processes and controls. Leading a team of five, you’ll work closely with senior stakeholders across finance and the broader business, acting as a trusted advisor on complex accounting matters. Key responsibilities: • Own and maintain group accounting policies aligned with current standards • Lead technical assessments across areas such as revenue recognition, leases, consolidations and impairments • Prepare technical accounting papers and position memos • Drive implementation of new accounting standards • Oversee statutory and group reporting, including year-end processes • Review journals, reconciliations and strengthen financial controls • Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing team About you: • CA/CPA qualified • Strong background in technical accounting and financial reporting • Experience in complex, multi-entity environments • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-finance stakeholders • Proven leadership experience and a collaborative approach This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys technical accounting but also wants to operate in a commercial, supportive and energetic environment.
