Our client is an expanding Melbourne-based boutique law firm specialising in high-value Mergers & Acquisitions, seeking a career Legal Assistant or Paralegal to join the firm in a newly created role. This opportunity will suit either an experienced Paralegal from a Corporate / Commercial practice or a senior Corporate Legal Assistant looking to step up into a more involved, hands-on position. Please note: this role is suited to career Paralegals or Legal Assistants only. Candidates who are currently studying law or intending to pursue a legal career as a Lawyer will not be considered. The firm is seeking someone who is committed to a long-term career in legal support. Working closely with the Managing Partner, this role offers a unique blend of drafting commercial legal documents, high-level administrative support and involvement in the operational side of a growing practice. The firm advises entrepreneurs, SMEs and mid-market clients across M&A and financial services, offering genuinely interesting and commercially focused work. Responsibilities include: Preparing key transactional documents including NDAs, Share Purchase Agreements, Asset Purchase Agreements, Disclosure Schedules, and Board and Shareholder Resolutions Complex formatting of transactional documents Supporting due diligence processes Managing diaries, inboxes and key workflows Drafting correspondence and client communications Billing and general administrative support Acting as a key point of contact for clients Contributing to systems, templates and process improvements About You: 4 years’ experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant with experience in preparing complex Corporate Commercial documents Strong document formatting skills and exceptional attention to detail Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities Comfortable working autonomously within a lean, high-performing team A genuine interest in building a long-term career in legal support To be considered, apply today via the link on this page.
