Melbourne CBD (Onsite role) $39.14 per hour Super 3 months contract with potential to extend State Government Opportunity Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm Multiple roles available About the Role As a Customer Service Officer, you will provide frontline support to customers via inbound and outbound calls, assisting with enquiries, navigating systems, and delivering clear and accurate information. This role requires strong communication skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to manage sensitive or complex conversations with professionalism and empathy. Key Responsibilities Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound customer calls and chat queries Support customers in navigating systems and resolving enquiries Manage complex or sensitive interactions with confidence and professionalism De-escalate challenging situations while maintaining a positive customer experience Provide accurate, consistent, and timely information Maintain detailed and accurate records of all interactions Interpret information to support decision-making and outcomes Work collaboratively within a team to meet service delivery targets About You You are a confident communicator who thrives in a structured, high-volume environment and can remain calm under pressure. You bring: Strong verbal and written communication skills (essential) as you will be handling chat queries as well Experience in a call centre or high-volume customer service environment Proven ability to handle difficult conversations and de-escalate effectively High levels of patience, resilience, and emotional intelligence Strong attention to detail, particularly with documentation Ability to quickly learn and navigate multiple systems Experience with telephony systems (CX1 highly regarded) Interested?
