Junior Legal Counsel Eagle Farm | In‑house | Development role Legal, but make it commercial. We’re looking for a Junior Legal Counsel who’s ready to grow their in‑house career and get close to the business. This is a hands‑on role supporting our Head of Legal and working across the Freedom Fuels Group on real matters, real decisions and real impact. The role As Junior Legal Counsel, you’ll provide timely, accurate and commercially practical legal support across the business. Working under the guidance of the Head of Legal, you’ll be involved in everything from contracts and property matters to governance, risk and compliance. This is a true development role – you’ll be trusted with responsibility, supported to learn, develop relationships with stakeholders across the Freedom Fuels Group, work with experienced paralegals and encouraged to build your confidence as an in‑house lawyer. What you’ll do Support the Head of Legal with day‑to‑day legal advice and research across multiple practice areas Draft and review a range of contracts, agreements, leases and other legal documents Assist with property and commercial transactions, disputes and litigation matters Help manage legal matters from instruction through to resolution, escalating where needed Liaise with external lawyers and advisers Support corporate governance activities, policies and compliance frameworks Assist with legal risk management, insurance and claims processes Maintain legal files, templates, precedents and key dates Build strong working relationships across the business Learn, grow and continuously improve how we do legal About you You’re early in your legal career, commercially minded, and comfortable asking questions when you need to. You’ll bring: A Bachelor of Laws (or equivalent) and an unrestricted Australian practising certificate 2–4 years’ post‑admission experience , or a strong early‑career lawyer keen to step in‑house Experience in commercial law , leasing/property and general dispute resolution Strong drafting, research and attention to detail Confidence managing competing priorities and working to deadlines Clear, practical communication skills – written and verbal A proactive mindset and eagerness to learn Comfort using technology (including AI tools) to work smarter Experience in areas such as employment law, privacy, IP, competition and consumer law, or the fuel or retail industries is a bonus – not a barrier.
