This role is ideal for a motivated engineer who thrives on responsibility, ownership, and practical problem-solving. Your role As a Project Engineer, you’ll play a key role in delivering capital and brownfield engineering projects across client sites in Queensland. What you’ll be doing You’ll support and deliver a portfolio of engineering projects by: Developing engineering scopes of work, work packs, and technical documentation. Supporting procurement activities, including vendor engagement and technical evaluations. Coordinating multidiscipline interfaces across electrical, instrumentation and controls, mechanical, piping, and operations. Working closely with site-based client teams to deliver safe, efficient project outcomes. Managing elements of cost, schedule, forecasting, and reporting. Interfacing with contractors, subcontractors, and design teams through execution. Getting involved in on-site delivery and commissioning activities where required. Embracing smarter ways of working, including digital tools and emerging AI-enabled processes. Travelling periodically to customer sites across Queensland (project-dependent). What you’ll bring You’re a proactive, hands-on engineer who enjoys responsibility and momentum. You take pride in seeing work through to completion and aren’t afraid to step into site environments and engage with stakeholders at all levels. You will have: A tertiary qualification in Engineering (preferred Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls, or Mechanical/Piping). Experience supporting or delivering projects within oil & gas, energy, industrial infrastructure, or heavy asset environments. Exposure to Electrical systems, controls, instrumentation, or automation projects. Practical experience with engineering scopes, procurement support, and contractor coordination. Confidence working with operational teams and client stakeholders. The ability to juggle multiple workstreams and prioritise in a delivery environment. A strong safety mindset and a solutions-focused approach. Why this opportunity is different This role offers meaningful exposure.
