We are seeking a skilled and motivated Full-Time Production Engineer to join our team and drive process efficiency, product quality, and continuous improvement across our manufacturing operations. Duties and Responsibilities Analyse and optimise production processes to maximise efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure consistent product quality, applying Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies. Monitor and evaluate production line performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement engineering solutions to improve throughput, reliability, and operational efficiency. Provide engineering support for production equipment, including troubleshooting, process adjustments, and collaboration with maintenance teams to minimise downtime and improve equipment performance. Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to ensure all products meet Garlo's Pies' quality and food safety standards, investigating process deviations and implementing corrective actions. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes, reduce costs, and improve product consistency, including root cause analysis and process optimisation projects. Assist in the design, selection, installation, and commissioning of new equipment and production lines to support business growth and increased production capacity. Ensure all production processes comply with Work Health & Safety (WHS) regulations and food manufacturing standards, contributing to risk assessments and safety improvements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, maintenance, quality, and supply chain to achieve operational targets, providing technical guidance and support to production staff. Qualifications and Requirements Relevant qualification in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field). Minimum of 1 year of experience in a production engineering or manufacturing environment, preferably within food manufacturing. Strong knowledge of production processes, process optimisation, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Manufacturing). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams. Proactive and results-oriented mindset with a strong focus on efficiency, safety, and quality. Salary The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $75,000 - $90,000 per annum, plus superannuation, based on a 38-hour work week.
