We're seeking an enthusiastic team player with a proactive approach to support classroom activities, student welfare and administrative tasks, with training provided as needed. This position is being offered in a Permanent Part-Time capacity (0.63FTE), 48 hours per fortnight. About Us At The Gap State High School, we believe in learners who flourish. Your Role As a Teacher Aide you will contribute to the provision of a quality educational service by assisting and supporting teachers with the preparation and enhancement of learning materials and associated activities. Responsibilities include, but not limited to; Provide in-class support for students with complex specialised learning & behavioural needs as directed by the classroom teacher. Support students in reading activities and other literacy and numeracy duties. Assist teachers and students with sporting activities and school excursions. Communicate effectively and demonstrate high levels of interpersonal skills to function as an effective team member. Show respect, empathy, confidentiality, tact, reliability, and sensitivity to students and their families. Provide clerical assistance including typing, duplicating teaching materials and organising off-site activities. Assist in preparing, storing, making available and clearing away teaching equipment and materials. Support teaching staff with playground and bus supervision. Contribute to the welfare, health and safety of students including delivering first aid. Assist in science demonstrations, textile and cooking classes and locating reference materials. Perform other suitable duties as directed by the supervisor or nominated delegate. Interested?
