The Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing financial operations within the construction industry. This temporary position requires a detail-oriented professional with expertise in accounting and finance to ensure smooth financial management. The role will commence ASAP as a contractor role and may have the opportunity to be converted into a permanent role. Client Details This opportunity is within a small to medium sized organisation reporting through to a larger multinational listed group that specialises in the construction industry. Description The Finance Manager will be responsible for: Manage financial reporting processes to ensure compliance and accuracy. WIP / Work In Progress Accounting Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities. Provide insights and recommendations on financial performance and trends. Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with internal teams to streamline financial workflows. Manage a small finance team Monitor cash flow and manage financial risks effectively. Support the preparation of audits and liaise with external auditors as needed. Maintain accurate financial records and oversee reconciliation processes. Profile A successful Finance Manager should have: Relevant qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting tools. Experience with WIP Accounting is essential A strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance. Experience in the property industry or similar sectors is highly regarded. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders effectively. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines under pressure.
