We have an exciting opportunity for Distribution Designer s to join our Power Transmission & Distribution team in Perth . In this role, you’ll deliver end-to-end distribution network designs across both overhead and underground scopes, supporting a pipeline of works that improve reliability, enable growth and strengthen network performance. You’ll be a key contributor to technical delivery and work closely with Aurecon’s clients such as Western Power — working closely with engineers, project managers, clients and stakeholders, and coordinating with broader Aurecon teams to achieve project outcomes. You’ll bring a strong WA distribution design background, apply Western Power standards and processes , and produce high-quality design documentation that is safe, compliant and constructable . You’ll also get the opportunity to be connected to the broader Aurecon business that includes hundreds of transmission and distribution engineers , including some that have led the largest transmission projects in Australia. Here are the key things you will need to ‘bring ideas to life’: The ideal candidate will have an active willingness to learn , be a strong communicator and show the desire to drive the right technical outcomes for clients, including by applying the following experience: Design & Technical Delivery Deliver end-to-end overhead and underground Western Power distribution network designs (LV, 11kV, 22kV). Prepare designs in accordance with Western Power standards, manuals, catalogues/drawings, and relevant Australian Standards including AS/NZS 7000 and AS/NZS 3000. Use relevant software tools including Western Power GIS systems, Poles-N-Wires, cable sizing tools, AutoCAD, NEARA, and PLS-CADD (mandatory). Apply Safety in Design requirements and integrate safe-by-design thinking into all deliverables. Experience & Knowledge Minimum 2 years’ hands-on experience with Western Power distribution design . Strong understanding of Western Power’s distribution design processes, including: OHL & UG standards and manuals AIM drawings GIS-based design tools Safety in Design requirements Working knowledge of relevant standards and guidelines including AS/NZS 7000, AS/NZS 3000, and Western Power guidelines.
