An established and growing engineering consultancy based near Roseville NSW is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Designer / Senior Civil Engineer to join their team in Sydney. Due to rapid growth and an increasing project pipeline, the business is looking to bring on a senior professional who can step into a leadership capacity and support the design team across complex infrastructure projects. This is a key hire for the business and offers the opportunity to play an important role in managing projects, mentoring junior staff, and supporting the ongoing growth of the company. The Role As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day delivery of civil design projects while acting as a key point of contact for the internal design team. You will help manage project workloads, resolve technical queries, and ensure projects are delivered efficiently and to a high standard. You will also work closely with senior leadership, allowing them to focus on strategic growth and business development while you help lead project delivery and team coordination. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage civil design projects from concept through to delivery Act as a key technical resource for the internal design team Provide guidance and support to junior designers and engineers Manage project timelines, deliverables, and technical documentation Liaise with internal stakeholders and external authorities Assist with project management and coordination across multiple projects About You To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced civil engineering professional who can operate independently and confidently within a fast-paced consultancy environment. Essential Experience Strong experience working with Sydney Water approval processes and infrastructure projects Previous experience in Australian civil infrastructure projects Ability to navigate complex approval pathways and regulatory requirements Proven ability to manage projects and provide technical guidance to junior staff A proactive mindset with the ability to solve problems independently Highly Regarded Experience delivering brownfield developments and complex urban projects Civil Engineering qualification Experience leading or mentoring design teams The Opportunity This role offers the chance to join a business experiencing strong growth with a significant pipeline of work.
