This is a Senior Information Technology Support Engineer role with Data3 based in Brisbane, QLD, AU Data3 Role Seniority - senior More about the Senior Information Technology Support Engineer role at Data3 6 month initial contract with possible extensions Based in Brisbane CBD The role provides technical system support, and advice to customers, business partners and internal staff. The work involves an infrastructure uplift to a new Active Directory and Entra ID configuration, Windows 11 SOE alignment, security baseline enforcement, application repackaging, and device rebuild or redeployment activities. You will also be required to collaborate with other teams, especially those which manage other layers of the ICT infrastructure stack e.g. Internetworking, Architecture, Product Management, Customer Relationship Managers, Solutions Implementation Teams, Project Management and others. Duties of the role: Provide advanced system administration services in Microsoft technologies and advice to external and internal customers within agreed customer service levels Provide technical input in responding to tenders and opportunities and architect and present solutions and proposals to potential customers. Participate in the architecture, design, and product presentation demonstrations to enhance the on-premise offerings and present solutions to meet the customer's needs through workshops, demonstrations, proof of concepts, evaluations etc Be one of the lead technicians on projects undertaken by the team, including the on-boarding of customers, new architecture solutions research into the applicability of new and emerging technologies. Work closely in a team of specialists identifying risks and opportunities for improvement in management infrastructure, tools and procedures, and participate in agreed improvement activities and strategies by understanding customer business drivers and provide suitable reporting, assessment, analysis and recommendations Skills and experience: Strong demonstrated experience in Microsoft EndPoint Configuration Manager administration and design skills (OS deployments, DPs, application packaging, software updates). Experience in Application Control configuration – Windows Defender/Manage Engine Application Control. High level Experience and skills in Scripting/Automation (PowerShell, batch command line). High level of working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems – Windows 11 Desktop OS and Server 2016 – 2025 OS. Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP. Demonstrated experience managing Windows virtualized servers in an enterprise VMWare environment. Ability to produce technical documentation and diagrams to professional standards.
