We are looking for skilled Casual Anaesthetic Technicians to support our growing four‑theatre suite and contribute to high‑quality perioperative services. As an Anaesthetic Technician, you will be responsible for the provision of patient care, with special regard to all types of anaesthesia and maintenance of associated equipment. Preserve patient confidentiality. Deliver competent assistance throughout the anaesthetic phase in both routine and emergency situations. Ensure patient safety throughout the anaesthetic phase, in particular with respect to the nominated position of the patient. Participate in the daily maintenance of associated anaesthetic equipment. Contribute to the orientation and continuing learning and development of new anaesthetic caregivers and other Operating Rooms caregivers. Cooperate with Staff Development Nurse in formulating formal and informal learning sessions for specific orientation or learning programs. You will have a Certificate IV and/or Diploma in Anaesthetic Technology, along with demonstrated competence in anaesthetics within a specialised clinical setting. You’ll bring a strong understanding of relevant standards of practice and hold additional competencies suited to your workplace. With experience working confidently in your specialty area, you will be capable of delivering safe, effective support in both routine and rapidly changing environments. You will also be able to work independently without direct supervision, using sound clinical judgement to implement care plans under the guidance of a Registered Nurse. Your ability to problem‑solve, adapt, and seek appropriate support when required will ensure high‑quality patient care and smooth perioperative workflows.
