We are recruiting for an Audit Manager on behalf of a well-established accounting and advisory firm in Armidale. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will manage a portfolio of corporate and SMSF clients, oversee audit workflows and contribute to the firm’s business advisory initiatives. The Role: Lead end-to-end corporate and SMSF audits, ensuring quality and compliance with auditing and accounting standards Support the Audit Partner and Associates in delivering superior client outcomes, including some business advisory engagements Manage workflow, review workpapers, and prepare audit reports for clients, including oversight of SMSF audits Build and maintain strong client relationships while mentoring and developing junior team members Contribute to the firm’s growth and reputation by assisting with marketing, client engagement, and practice improvement initiatives Gain exposure to SMSF compliance under the Superannuation Industry (Supervision) Act 1993 About You: Completed university degree in Accounting, Business, Commerce or Technology Completed or currently undertaking the CA Program, with a commitment to complete ASIC Audit Registration Minimum 5 years of audit experience, with the ability to obtain audit registration desirable Knowledge of auditing and accounting standards and working knowledge of financial statements and risk-based audit methodologies Experience to support future Company Auditor and SMSF registration desirable Understanding of the not-for-profit sector advantageous Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, able to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively Exceptional attention to detail and quality assurance documentation Self-motivated, analytical, logical, and a strong problem solver Effective team player with a collaborative mindset What’s On Offer: A supportive, collaborative and professional work environment Career development, mentoring and structured pathways for progression Exposure to diverse and technically challenging client portfolios, including SMSFs and corporate clients Opportunity to be part of a highly respected mid-tier firm in a regional location with a great lifestyle If you’re ready to step into a leadership role where your expertise is valued and your growth is supported, apply today.
