This pivotal and diverse role based in a handy inner North location, supports a leading Surgeon and their dedicated team, ensuring an exceptional patient experience from initial consultation through to post-operative care. About the Role Working closely with the Patient Coordinator, you will play an integral part in managing patient care coordination, appointment scheduling and day-to-day practice operations. This role requires professionalism, discretion and a genuine commitment to patient experience, particularly within the context of the plastic surgery journey. Key Responsibilities: Provide a warm, professional welcome to patients throughout their consultation and surgical journey Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, rescheduling and follow-up communication Handle high volumes of phone and email correspondence; reception duties two days per week Process patient payments and liaise with accounts to ensure accurate billing Support pre-operative and post-operative administration in collaboration with the Patient Coordinator Assist with preparation of surgical files and documentation Provide fee schedules and administrative cost information to patients Support consultations when required with paperwork and administrative queries Process referrals and manage correspondence with referring doctors Coordinate with hospitals, anaesthetists and other medical professionals to ensure seamless patient care About You We are seeking a confident, organised and patient-focused professional who brings: Previous experience in a medical administration role (specialist or surgical experience essential) Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal A high level of empathy and professionalism when dealing with patients Strong organisational skills and attention to detail The ability to manage competing priorities in a busy practice environment Knowledge of Medicare, health fund processes and medical billing (preferred) Commitment to confidentiality and best practice procedures Strong practice management software skills (Genie, Xestro ideally but not essential) The Offer Join this highly respected and established specialist practice, working within a supportive and collaborative clinical team.
