This is a Principal Cloud Administrator, ICT Technical Services role with Queensland Government based in Brisbane, QLD, AU Queensland Government Role Seniority - mid level, senior More about the Principal Cloud Administrator, ICT Technical Services role at Queensland Government As Principal Cloud Administrator you will contribute to Information and Technology Services by providing operational advice on best practice of the Department’s virtual solutions with a core focus on the Microsoft Azure environment. The Principal Cloud Administrator plays a key role in the implementation of new services, transition to support and the management of existing solutions. The Principal Cloud Administrator works within ICT Operations offering advice to ensure that all supported services are implemented using industry best practice, are cost effective and secure. As Principal Cloud Administrator You Will Design, configure and implement cloud infrastructure and networks in line with existing organisational architecture, delivering secure, fit‑for‑purpose solutions that support business, technology and digital objectives. Analyse, support and maintain existing and installed Azure infrastructure including networks, compute, storage, databases etc to ensure there is continued service availability, and enhancements are implemented through the lifecycle of the infrastructure. Develop, implement and maintain ICT procedures, plans and other technical documentation as required to ensure up to date and accurate information for future use. Manage the escalation of incidents from other team members to resolve incidents and service requests in a timely manner. The Principal Cloud Administrator also manages escalations of incidents to third parties where required including monitoring, incident response, answering service requests, and execution of changes. Undertake the technical lead role engagement with project teams including customers, stakeholders to produce recommendations relevant to the outcomes desired ensuring that recommendations are sustainable, supportable, and affordable. Ability to rearchitect, learn and adapt to new frameworks or technologies and quickly integrate with them for automation. Mentor, support and provide technical leadership across the team, using an appropriate engagement and communication style, contributing to a positive team culture with a focus on collaboration and the customer experience.
