Large complex government environment, Oracle & Linux/Unix stills Hybrid work in Brisbane CBD We’re currently partnering with a large, complex enterprise environment to engage an experienced Oracle Database Administrator with strong Unix/Linux expertise . This role supports mission-critical platforms and offers the opportunity to work within a highly technical, operationally mature environment. Key Responsibilities Administer, support and optimise Oracle databases in enterprise environments Perform database installation, configuration, patching, upgrades and performance tuning Support high availability and disaster recovery solutions (e.g. RAC, Data Guard) Manage and support Unix/Linux operating systems underpinning database platforms Monitor system health, troubleshoot incidents and perform root cause analysis Automate routine tasks and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives Work closely with infrastructure, application and security teams to ensure platform stability Skills & Experience Proven experience as an Oracle DBA in large-scale or enterprise environments Strong hands-on experience with Linux/Unix systems Solid knowledge of Oracle architecture, backup/recovery and performance tuning Experience supporting 24/7 or business-critical systems Exposure to scripting (Shell, Bash or similar) Ability to work independently while collaborating within technical teams Desirable Experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard or Exadata Exposure to cloud-hosted Oracle platforms ITIL or enterprise operational experience What’s on Offer Opportunity to work in a highly stable, long-term environment Engaging technical work across critical infrastructure platforms Competitive market rates / salary (depending on engagement type) Flexible working arrangements may be available If you’re an Oracle DBA with a strong Unix/Linux background and are open to a confidential discussion, apply through this link or send me an email [email protected] quote REF248259 Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at Hudson Hudson is committed to helping you find a workplace where you feel respected, supported, and free to thrive.
