As a Teacher Aide, you’ll play a key role in delivering a high-quality educational experience by assisting teachers to prepare and enhance engaging learning materials and activities, helping create a positive and supportive classroom environment. This position is being offered in a Permanent Part-Time capacity (0.39FTE), 30 hours per fortnight. In your role as a Teacher Aide with a focus on Learning Support and Kindy, you are required to: Have knowledge of, and have implementated, the PLD and Spelling Shed Literacy programs to assist class teacher during Literacy lessons. Have experience in an SDK setting (preferable). Completed National Mandatory Child Safety and Child Protection training for an SDK school. Provide a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment by assisting in classroom activities and supporting individual student needs and helping implement the QKLG. Additional Roles Include Assisting with the management and stocktaking of equipment and resources. Communicating effectively and displaying high level of interpersonal skills to function as an effective team member. Maintaining anecdotal records on students for use in reviewing student's development. Displaying respect and empathy for students with high level needs. Displaying confidentiality, tact, reliability and sensitively to students and their families. Assisting in the supervision of education activities, under the direction of a teacher. Assisting in preparing, storing, making available and clearing away teaching equipment and materials. Assisting with playground supervision. Refer To Role Description Document For Additional Roles.
