This is a Travel Administrator role with Queensland Government based in Brisbane, QLD, AU Queensland Government Role Seniority - junior, mid level More about the Travel Administrator role at Queensland Government An exciting opportunity to join the Finance team as a travel administrator in a temporary capacity until 01/02/2027. In this role, you will provide key administrative support and help facilitate the efficient and effective operation of the QTravel systems and processes. Finance is responsible for providing a range of finance/travel technology solutions and business services including finance/travel systems development and administration, policy, procedures and controls monitoring and advice, and financial/travel management training. The Travel Administrator supports the Senior Travel Administrator in supplier service arrangements as well as provide administrative and support services to facilitate the efficient and effective operation of the QTravel systems and processes. What You Will Be Doing Providing advice about travel policy, procedures and travel administrative delegations, systems administration including user access, master data creation and modification and exception reporting. Providing user support and advice to internal and external stakeholders on a range of travel initiatives including travel arrangements and expense claims. Assisting the implementation of system enhancements and process changes as required by identifying organisational issues, developing recommendations for review, and assisting in implementing approved strategies. Assisting with reviews of departmental travel policies, procedures and travel administrative delegations which will deliver appropriate travel management processes. across the department, aligned with the whole-of-Government travel policies. Reconcile and pay the Business Travel Accounts within the payment terms of the account. Assisting with the management of the Business Travel Accounts for the department. Representing the Travel Team at various meetings and forums. Participating in regular team meetings and support team initiatives and members. The Skills You Will Need Include Being Able To Identify process improvements opportunities to enhance service delivery. Actively work to understand clients and stakeholder needs and requirements to keep them well informed of work progress. Research and analysis skills and ability to contribute to the review and implementation of policies, systems, and procedures in a changing environment. Ability to liaise and negotiate confidently with stakeholders, including suppliers, team members and end users with your highly developed communication skills. Take personal responsibility for completion of priority activities within a complex, fast paced and changing environment with competing deadlines.
