Accounting officer for a 6-month contract for a company based on the southern outskirts of Melbourne Your new company This role will sit within a division of one of the largest education businesses in Melbourne. They are looking for someone to join their finance team on a 6-month contract to help cover maternity leave. Your new role You will be responsible for: Budget forecasting and cash-flow management for research grants Interpretation of project-specific contracts and input into spreadsheets Internal stakeholder management to help formulate the budget for research grants and help forecast to ensure the project is on track. Monitoring contract milestones Ensuring all contracts are reviewed and adhered to too. Help resolve any queries internal stakeholders may have. Adhere to all relevant business tax, audit, legal and corporate governance legislation. Triage of shared mailbox queries and liaison with researchers What you'll need to succeed 23 years transactional accounting experience Proficiency in Excel (formulas; pivot tables optional) Experience with accounting software (SAP trainable) Autonomous, reliable attendance and self-starter attitude University/education background preferred, private sector acceptable What you'll get in return You will receive a competitive rate of pay depending on experience.
