Job Description The Store Layout Designer is responsible for designing low-cost, scalable store layouts that enhance the instore customer experience and support the delivery of profitable sales growth. Key responsibilities include: Together with the Merchandise Services team conceptualise internal and external store designs that align to the current brand guidelines Work collaboratively with merchandise, marketing, store development and stores to develop plans that align to business objectives Build and maintain effective working relationships with external stakeholders, such as suppliers, services, and trades. Work to the critical path schedule to ensure all project plans can be communicated on time and accurately Anticipate future customer shopping needs & experiences through innovation, collaborative ideation & learnings Support the new product initiative process from fixture design and concept to liaising with suppliers for prototypes Prepare store plans ensuring: Ensure accuracy of plans, requesting “as builts” as necessary Implement macro space category templates, applying The Good Guys’ 3 Universe principles Design fit for purpose BOH layouts, that meet all operational & safety requirements Work in collaboration with the Safety team to ensure legislative compliance for approved initiatives The design process adheres to the applicable legislation, building standards and codes of practice. Building documentation is produced and maintained in a consistent format Undertake store visits as required to scope sites pre, during and/or post works
