Location Allambie Heights, NSW, Australia Role Purpose The Disability Support Worker role at CPA exists to provide high-quality, person-centered support to people with disabilities. You will play a vital role in empowering clients to live as independently as possible, by helping them to achieve their goals and supporting their day-to-day wellbeing, dignity and quality of life. About the Clients As a Disability Support Worker in CPA's Youth Program, you will be providing specialised care to our clients aged between 13-28. Through hands-on support, you will help each client to work towards their goals. Role Overview Working in the Youth Program, you will be helping CPA's younger clients to develop crucial life, social, and employability skills by helping to deliver relevant and engaging youth-specific initiatives. This includes experiences and programs such as our School Leavers Employment Support program (SLES), Social Saturdays, Afternoon Clubs, and Employment Assistance Programs. You'll also be asked to document and monitor client wellbeing, and collaborate effectively with other CPA staff to maintain a supportive team environment What Success Looks Like Clients feel safe, respected and empowered Care is delivered consistently in a person-centred way Documentation is accurate and completed on time You contribute positively to team culture You demonstrate CPA's values: Passionate, Respectful, Ethical, Curious and Courageous You have an ability to tailor support specifically to younger clients and help build key life skills Essential Criteria Commitment to person-centred care Current NSW Driver's Licence (minimum P2) Ability to meet the inherent physical requirements of the role Willingness to work a rotating roster NDIS Worker Screening Check Working With Children Check First Aid & CPR Where required, CPA will support or reimburse relevant compliance certifications.
