About the client: Stellar Recruitment is proud to partner with a leading mining and resources asset owner headquartered in Brisbane. As they embark on an exciting expansion, they are transitioning into the execution phase of a new greenfield mine in Regional Queensland. This large-scale project includes the delivery of open pits, processing facilities, tailings storage facilities, non-process infrastructure, utilities, power generation, and camp/village construction - making it one of the largest projects of its kind currently underway in Queensland . As the project transitions into the construction phase, an immediate opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Construction Manager to join the site team through the execution phase. About the role: This is a site-based role working on a 2:1 roster (14 days on / 7 days off) . Working closely with, and running back-to-back to the Construction Manager. You will provide oversight across infrastructure, processing, services, and tailings , managing both internal delivery teams and Principal Contractors. Key responsibilities include: Managing construction activities to ensure compliance with project requirements, specifications, safety standards, and quality expectations. Developing, coordinating, and executing construction work packs to enable safe and efficient delivery. Liaising with engineers, designers, and broader project teams to resolve constructability issues and support on-time delivery. Supporting day-to-day site leadership and driving a strong safety and performance culture. This role suits a hands execution specialist who thrives in a site environment and enjoys turning design into buildable outcomes. Experience Required: Tertiary qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering - not essential Demonstrated experience delivering multi-discipline mining infrastructure projects Strong problem-solving capability with high attention to detail Commercially astute, with the ability to drive and maintain construction programs Proven stakeholder and contractor management experience Prior experience working in remote or regional project environments is highly regarded Why Join?
