Electrical Design Engineer (Water Design) Job Summary / Overview The Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for delivering detailed electrical designs and specifications for water infrastructure projects. The role supports project delivery across mining and water assets while ensuring compliance with relevant standards and safety requirements. Key Responsibilities Develop detailed electrical design deliverables including GAs SLDs and cable schedules Perform electrical calculations including cable sizing and equipment selection Prepare scopes of work material lists specifications and datasheets Provide technical advice and recommendations to project stakeholders Liaise with vendors contractors and consultants for quotations and equipment supply Assess technical proposals and present recommendations internally Attend factory acceptance tests to support compliance and quality Communicate design progress risks and changes clearly and timely Coordinate with other engineering disciplines Undertake occasional site visits for inspection and testing Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering recognised by Engineers Australia 3-5 years experience in an electrical engineering design role Strong knowledge of Australian and international standards Experience with safety in design practices including HAZOP and risk assessments Skills & Competencies Electrical design for pump stations borefields and transfer pump stations Experience with pump motors VSDs and MCCs Development of operating and control philosophies Strong written and verbal communication skills Working Conditions (Optional) Perth CBD based Occasional site visits within Perth and regional locations Please contact Irene Yam for further details on 08 6212 5518 For over 30 years Talent has been redefining the contracting experience with industry leading support, exclusive contractor benefits & a world-class digital platform ENGAGE to access it all.
