A reputable software company are seeking a highly experienced Software Developer Engineer in Test (SDET) with strong mobile expertise to join their team on a contract basis (possible extension). This role requires a seasoned testing professional with deep end-to-end testing lifecycle experience, strong automation framework development capabilities, and hands-on expertise across web, mobile, and API automation. You will play a critical role in designing, building, and delivering high-quality testing solutions across new and existing applications. Key Responsibilities Functional Testing & Quality Engineering Lead end-to-end software test lifecycle activities (10 years’ experience required). Design and deliver test strategies across system, integration, UAT, and production verification testing. Perform comprehensive mobile testing (functional, automation, performance, compatibility, security, and UX). Conduct API testing across REST, SOAP, and GraphQL services using tools such as ReadyAPI and Postman. Work with cloud-based services (e.g., AWS) and demonstrate understanding of data lake/data vault modelling concepts. Query and validate data using SQL/T-SQL across relational databases. Manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced Agile environment. Communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders. Test Automation Expertise Build web automation frameworks from scratch using: Playwright WebDriverIO TypeScript ExpressJS Docker Develop mobile automation frameworks for iOS and Android platforms. Implement API automation solutions (REST, SOAP, GraphQL). Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines (CircleCI, Bitbucket Pipelines). Perform performance testing using tools such as JMeter and Sitespeed. What We’re Looking For 10 years of hands-on experience in software testing and quality engineering. Strong automation-first mindset with experience building frameworks from the ground up. Deep experience in mobile testing environments. Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure and data architecture concepts. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within Agile teams. Strong stakeholder communication skills. Working Arrangement Hybrid: 2 days per week onsite in North Sydney 6-month initial contract
