Senior Data Engineer Sydney - Hybrid (2–3 days onsite) $150k - $160k Super An established organisation is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to help build and scale a modern data platform supporting analytics, reporting and data-driven initiatives. This is a senior, hands-on role with ownership across data pipelines, modelling and engineering standards. You’ll work closely with architects, engineers and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, secure data solutions. What you’ll be doing: Design and build scalable ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory, ingesting data from on-prem systems, APIs and structured/unstructured sources Develop and optimise Azure Data Lake (Gen2), Delta Lake and Databricks solutions across Bronze, Silver and Gold layers Model, transform and enhance data in Databricks and Power BI to support enterprise analytics and reporting Implement CI/CD and DevOps practices to improve deployment, reliability and platform performance Skills & experience 5 years’ experience in Data Engineering, Data Modelling and Data Governance within Azure environments Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks and Azure Data Lake Advanced SQL and strong Python capability Experience designing scalable data architectures and enterprise data warehouses Experience building ETL/ELT frameworks across multiple source systems Solid understanding of data governance, metadata management and data quality principles If you're a Senior Data Engineer looking for a high-impact role where you can shape a modern Azure data platform end-to-end, apply now or contact Liam Griffiths directly at [email protected]
