The role: As the Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the stability, performance, and continual improvement of the Digital Delivery Portal (DDP) data platform following its recent uplift to a modern Azure data lakehouse architecture. Working within the Portfolio Reporting & Analytics team, you will be responsible for the operational support, maintenance and optimisation of a complex multi‑layered data environment that includes Azure Data Factory ingestion pipelines, Databricks, Azure SQL databases, and an API layer built on Azure App Services. Your responsibilities will include: * Monitoring and maintaining data ingestion pipelines across SharePoint, Microsoft Project, Azure SQL and the data lakehouse. * Managing Delta Lake structures, incremental data processing, and schema evolution to ensure data quality and reliability. * Ensuring the performance, security and accuracy of APIs supporting the DDP platform. * Supporting and optimising Power BI semantic models and Databricks SQL Warehouse connections. * Troubleshooting operational issues and identifying opportunities for system improvements, automation and optimisation. * Working collaboratively with analysts, vendors, stakeholders and project teams to maintain the platform's integrity and support emerging reporting and data needs.
