About the role: We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and highly organised Administration/Reception team member with strong administrative skills to join the team at Montserrat Medical Services (MMS). This opportunity is available on a part-time or full-time basis, with a minimum commitment of 60 hours per fortnight. As a key member of the Montserrat Medical Services team, you will be the first point of contact for our patients and referring practitioners. This role requires professionalism, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced specialist medical environment. You will support multiple clinicians and ensure the smooth day-to-day running of consulting sessions while delivering a high standard of patient care and administrative accuracy. Duties and responsibilities: This role will see you working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to support patient care needs and deliver exceptional clinical outcomes. Front desk reception and patient check-in/check-out Managing incoming calls and appointment scheduling Processing Medicare claims, EFTPOS payments and receipting Managing specialist billing and private health fund claims Handling referrals and maintaining accurate patient records Liaising with GPs, hospitals, and other healthcare providers Preparing procedure paperwork and patient documentation General administrative support to clinicians and management Ensuring compliance with privacy and healthcare regulations About You: You have a genuine passion for providing world-class patient care and adding value to Australian healthcare. You will have: Experience in an administrative role within a medical or hospital setting A high level of computer skills particularly Microsoft Office and Patient/ Practice Management Software An understanding of the Medicare and Private Health Insurance billing systems Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with patients, doctors and staff Strong organisational skills and a high level of drive Adaptability and flexibility to support the patient's needs Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to prioritise and manage urgent requests calmly and efficiently Sound knowledge of medical terminology Ability to multi-task with great attention to detail Flexibility to work across business opening hours rosters - 8am to 6pm Culture and Benefits: At Nexus, caring for our people, patients and employees is at the centre of everything we do.
