Cafe Boardroom Macquarie Park Pty Ltd t/a Del Punto - Del Punto is a contemporary restaurant specialising in high-quality Spanish-inspired cuisine and exceptional dining experiences. As a Chef at Del Punto, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations and shaping the culinary offerings of the restaurant, ensuring that food is prepared and presented to the highest standards. This position requires strong culinary skills, leadership qualities, and the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house teams. Responsibilities and Tasks: Plan, design and create menus that reflect the restaurant's concept, considering seasonality, ingredient availability and customer preferences. Support the Head Chef with service cooking, food preparation and stock control functions. Act as second-in-command of the kitchen, ensuring smooth operations and quality standards in the absence of the Head Chef. Develop and maintain the restaurant's culinary identity and reputation for excellent food. Develop recipes, train kitchen staff, and ensure consistency in food preparation and presentation. Manage food costs and minimise waste through effective supervision of food preparation processes. Manage day-to-day kitchen operations, including staff scheduling, ordering supplies and maintaining kitchen equipment. Adhere to safety, health and sanitation regulations, conducting regular food safety inspections. Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to kitchen staff, including hiring, training and supervising team members. Collaborate with front-of-house staff and management to ensure seamless coordination and customer service. Qualifications and Skills: Relevant qualification. Minimum 3 years experience as a Chef Strong culinary skills and knowledge of kitchen operations Ability to plan and cost menus effectively Leadership, training and staff development capability Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and sanitation standards Salary: The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $80,000 - $90,000 p.a plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
