With a strong focus on fresh, modern dishes and consistent service standards, Verandah Bar is seeking a skilled and motivated Chef to join its kitchen team. This role suits a Chef who enjoys working in a fast-paced city venue and takes pride in delivering high-quality food. Key Duties & Responsibilities Preparing, cooking, and presenting food to a consistently high standard Ensuring quality control, portion consistency, and presentation across all dishes Assisting with menu planning, development, and seasonal updates Monitoring food preparation processes to meet hygiene and food safety standards Ordering, receiving, and storing food supplies and ingredients correctly Managing stock levels, minimising wastage, and controlling food costs Assisting in the preparation and service of functions and events Working closely with management and senior kitchen staff on daily operations Training and supporting junior chefs, cooks, and kitchen hands Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised kitchen in line with WHS requirements About You Relevant commercial cookery qualifications Proven experience as a Chef in a bar, restaurant, or hotel environment Strong knowledge of food safety and kitchen operations Ability to perform well under pressure during busy service periods Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays What’s On Offer Secure full-time position Supportive and professional kitchen environment Opportunity to work in a popular Sydney CBD venue Competitive salary based on experience Fulltime Role - Salary between $76K - $80K plus super If you believe you would be a good fit for our team, please send your resume and contact details to the details attached.
