Description We are seeking a Sales Coordinator to join our Sales Team in Sydney, Australia. Our Sales Coordinators support the Sales Executives by performing commercial follow up tasks and handling all back-office activities. Sales Coordinators are responsible for evaluating and responding to requests from customers, issuing quotations, maintaining contracts and communicating to customers any change and/or development while ensuring proper adherence to the Hapag-Lloyd policies and procedures. Sales Coordination interfaces with Sales Steering, Sales Execution, Customer Service, Operations and Finance. Please note: successful applicants must be located in Sydney and must already have the right to work in Australia (i.e. citizenship, permanent residency, or eligible VISA), as we unfortunately cannot sponsor VISAs. Applications for this position close on 4th February 2025 Responsibilities Sales Coordination delivers quality support to Sales Execution and Sales Steering with the aim to ‘make it work’. This is accomplished through: Preparing rate quotations. Reviewing quotations on basis of contribution and imbalances aspects using FIS pre calculation. Setting and updating of opportunities Coordinating with Trade Management for service contract proposals and special rate offers. Maintaining contracts and amendments. Handling of Bids / Tenders. Following up on account quotes and existing accounts in conjunction with all respective departments. Providing lead qualification for telephone sales and working with Sales Execution to identify and secure target accounts. Filing/publishing rates, service contracts and amendments with the FMC. Managing customer disputes including coordination with involved parties, e.g. Operations, Sales Execution. Handling missing sales contracts and revenue retrievals in the shipments. Handling campaign management and coordinate mass mailings for customers. Handling Customer Data Management (Organisational Catalogue). Qualifications Skills and experience required: Work experience in the liner shipping business or forwarding Comprehensive knowledge of user application systems (FIS RA, CRM, MS Office) Proficiency using Excel Cost awareness Good command of written and spoken English Success Criteria for Candidates: Ability to take initiative and work under pressure Strong Communication skills Attention to detail, analytical, systematic and efficient way of working Ability to work in a team and motivate others
