The primary accountabilities of the Legal Business Adviser include: - Provision of high quality, timely business advice and administration support to LSSG across a diverse range of office and legal matters to improve operational efficiencies and service delivery.- Supporting the Director and legal officers in the LSSG in the day to day coordination and administration of legal matters. Developing, enhancing and maintaining internal processes for the LSSG, including internal procedures for the management of legal matters, precedents database (e.g. developing template letters and documents) and any other policies to improve operational efficiency and productivity of the LSSG.- Document control and management of standard templates.- Management and generation of regular reporting for the LSSG, such as legal updating, monthly performance reports, financial spend and forecast, trend analysis, and similar.- Database administration, interrogation and reporting.- Corresponding with and/or attending court, QCAT, Human Rights Commission or other decision making body for administrative matters such as filing and case management.- Co-ordinating and assisting with wider team business support requirements, such as recruitment processes, staff movements, logistics to on-board new team members, timesheet and leave requests, performance plans, payroll processing, expense claims, etc- Collaborating with the Financial Services and Strategic Sourcing Command to assist in the financial management of the LSSG including expense vouchers, cost coding invoices, general and accrual journaling, purchase orders, billing processes and queries, etc.- Co-ordinating team meetings, minutes and actions, and any internal team communications.- Liaising with stakeholders to collate information for case preparation. This may include high profile, complex or sensitive case matters.- General trouble-shooting across the LSSG and assist in other duties or reports as requested by the Director and team.
