About the role: We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic and positive Administration Team Leader to provide operational direction for the front office team at Pennant Hills Day Surgery. The Team Leader role is a "hands-on" role for all areas of responsibilities across front office, with a supervisor component. This is a Monday to Friday, Full-time 12-month contract role with an option to extend. Duties and responsibilities As Administration Team Leader, your responsibilities will include: Overseeing Front Reception, Bookings, Pre-Admissions, Day Surgery admissions, discharge of patients Financial Consent management including private health eligibility, patient accounts collections, bank reconciliation Manage rosters, staffing and supervision of staff, assist General Manager/ Director of Nursing with ongoing staff development and training Perform process reviews and ongoing change management where required Assist General Manager/ Director of Nursing in maximizing team performance through achieving team and hospital KPI's Handle enquiries and patient experience / consumer feedback Maintain accurate documentation of patient records via FYDO Utilise MS Office application to manage correspondence and conduct reports Ad hoc duties in consultation with the General Manager/ Director of Nursing About You We encourage anyone with the following criteria to apply: Minimum 2 – 3 years in healthcare administration Knowledge of health fund contracting and the Australian Private Health System Proficiency in Patient Administration Software (preferably FYDO/ SimDay) Strong IT skills (MS Office suite) Sound knowledge of medical terminology Ability to manage competing priorities with high attention to detail Strong interpersonal and communication skills Excellent customer service skills with a pleasant professional manner The Nexus Hospitals Story Nexus Hospitals is a leading Australian Private Hospital group that employs over 1300 talented and passionate people across 22 hospitals and 3 support offices.
