Hudson Jones are partnering with one of Australia's leading event hire companies seeking a dynamic and passionate Operations and Warehouse Manager to lead a small team of operational staff. This role combines strategic operational management with hands-on project delivery, ensuring high-quality service from initial client inquiry to final supply. ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY: Based at their Sydney site, the Operations and Warehouse Manager will be responsible for the seamless end-to-end delivery of all event hire logistics. Bridging the gap between sales, logistics, enhancing efficiency and profitability, this role will see the Operations and Warehouse Manager be involved in all facets of the day to day Sydney warehouse operations to ensure inventory is maintained to high standards, project plans are executed on time (and within budget), and client expectations are exceeded through superior service. ABOUT THE KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY: Project Management & Customer Service Operations & Logistics People Leadership & Safety ABOUT THE DAY TO DAY: Managing client projects from initial brief, site inspection, and planning, to final execution on-site. Managing budgets, coordinating vendors and business development. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on operational matters, providing expert advice on site suitability, product selection, logistics, and managing business quotes. Manage project budgets, ensuring profitability through efficient resource allocation and cost control. Plan and manage the warehouse, loading schedules, transportation, and delivery/collection logistics. Oversee all warehouse operations, and lead a small team of operational staff. Adhere to and enforce all workplace HSE policies, conduct site risk assessments, and manage compliance (e.g., permits, inductions) ABOUT YOU: Ideally 3-5 years in a similar operations, warehouse or project management role within the event hire, marquee, or event production industry. Proven ability to coordinate large volumes of equipment and crew schedules, with experience using Inventory Management software. Experience with site planning, project management, and business development. Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and manage a warehouse team, including managing casual staff. Strong ability to remain calm and responsive to unexpected challenges on-site (weather, logistics issues). Current Driver's License required; Forklift License highly desirable, but not essential.
