Part time (0.8 FTE) or fulltime maximum term position up to 12 months * Salary range: $104,925 - $122,409 (pro rata) plus super * Up to $15,900 in salary packaging, flexible hybrid work arrangement About the roleThe Mental Health Legal Rights Service (MHLRS) is a new legal service model that has been co-designed with people with lived experience of mental health issues (consumers) and a range of other stakeholders. This role will drive the implementation of the transformative new legal service model delivered in partnership across Victoria Legal Aid (VLA), the Mental Health Legal Centre (MHLC) and the Victorian Aboriginal Legal Service (VALS). You will work with internal and external stakeholders to support service development as well as quality improvement, co-design initiatives, data and reporting and training and other implementation activities across the model. You will also support and ensure the consistent delivery of MHLRS across the three legal partners. The role is based in VLA's Mental Health and Disability Law (MHDL) sub program and will work closely with other MHLRS staff including the Senior Consumer Consultant and the Education and Training Coordinator, as well as other VLA staff. This role is based at our Melbourne CBD office on Wurundjeri Country. About youAs our ideal candidate, you will possess: * Experience in collaborating with service delivery partners to develop services using data and quality assurance tools and resources * Experience in extracting, assessing, and analysing data (both qualitative and quantitative) to support insights towards service development goals in partnership with service implementers * Experience in designing and developing consumer centred services including creating workflows, processes, guidelines * Experience in service design methodologies and approaches with experience conducting consumer journey mapping and data mapping in Miro a distinct advantage * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to use those skills to influence and negotiate with people across all levels. * Lived experience and/or experience in working with lived experience experts to co-produce or co-design services and resources. * Proven experience in developing, implementing, and evaluating high-quality legal services.
