About the Role We’re seeking a motivated Construction Cadet (Civil Engineering) to join our team and support the delivery of our townhouse projects across Brisbane, on either a part-time or full-time basis. Your time in this role will be split equally between our head office in Hemmant and on-site at our developments, providing hands-on exposure to all stages of the construction process - from estimating and procurement through to site supervision and project delivery. Key responsibilities include: Assisting the Construction Administration team with document control and program management Supporting the preparation and issuance of pre-construction estimating packages, purchase orders, bills of quantities, and specifications Assisting with the preparation of subcontractor and supplier agreements Reviewing and processing subcontractor and supplier invoices Supporting the preparation of project financial and performance reports Collaborating with managers and site supervisors to ensure timely and accurate project delivery Reviewing civil construction plans and methodologies Assisting with the delivery of Development Approval (DA) conditions and Operational Works Permit requirements across Ipswich City Council, Brisbane City Council, and Priority Development Areas About You Our ideal candidate is enthusiastic, driven, and eager to build a career in the construction and development industry. We’re looking for the below: Currently studying or recently completed a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil), Construction Management , or a related discipline Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent organisation and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving Exposure to construction-related software and confidence using Microsoft Office A collaborative mindset and willingness to learn from experienced professionals Self-motivation and a genuine passion for quality and continuous improvement Who We Are With over 20 years of experience, AR Developments has been developing communities across Brisbane, delivering modern, turnkey townhouses for families and property investors.
