National Engineering Manager Location: South West Sydney, NSW Reports to: General Manager (Engineering Solutions) About the client Our client is a proudly Australian-owned provider of equipment hire and engineered solutions, delivering innovative, safe, and compliant solutions to support major projects across multiple industries. With a focus on growth and customer success, they offer end-to-end services spanning engineering, industrial solutions, and specialised equipment. The role We are seeking an experienced and visionary National Engineering Manager to lead the engineering design function and play a key role in shaping the organisation’s national strategy for engineered solutions. Based in South West Sydney, this hands-on leadership role oversees technical expertise, engineering services, and compliance standards while guiding a small, high-performing team. Key responsibilities Drive an uncompromising safety-first culture across the organisation and customer interactions Design and deliver engineered temporary works solutions using hire equipment, ensuring functionality, compliance, and alignment with Australian Standards Provide onsite engineering services , including inspection, testing, and technical support Manage the preparation and delivery of engineering certifications , utilising internal and external chartered engineers as required Develop best-practice, cost-effective designs that meet legislative and environmental requirements Identify opportunities to enhance and expand technical service offerings in line with market trends Represent the organisation through industry networks, memberships, and trade shows Lead, coach, and develop the engineering team , fostering accountability, performance, and growth Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and safety protocols What’s on offer Career development and progression opportunities Access to employee benefits, discounts, and wellbeing programs Purchased leave options Novated leasing and salary sacrifice Generous parental leave provisions Opportunities to engage in volunteering through the company foundation What you’ll bring Degree-qualified in Civil and/or Structural Engineering Relevant creditations - MIE Aust, CPEng, NER & RPEQ registrations Extensive experience delivering engineered solutions in construction, infrastructure, or industrial sectors Strong knowledge of legislative, environmental, and compliance standards relevant to temporary works and equipment design Proven success in leading technical teams and driving high-performance cultures Full Australian Work Rights - Must be Australian Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen.
