L&I ELECTRICAL Position : Full Time Location : Kilsyth South, Vic Salary : $75,000 - $80,000 a year L & I Electrical Pty Ltd are one of the longest continuously trading switchboard manufacturing companies in Australia. Established in 1974 for the main purpose of designing and manufacturing high quality electrical switchboards, Motor Control Centres, Distribution Boards, and control panels. We are looking for a skilled Electrical Engineering Technician with skills and knowledge to enable us to meet company objectives regarding the manufacture of switchboards, distribution boards, meter panels, supply connection pillars, motor control centres, power boards and compliance testing and commission products as per standards. The Role Reporting to Production Manager / Operations & Business Development Manager, your responsibilities will be: Manufacture of low/medium/high voltage switchboards, control panels and Motor Control Centres by providing Skilled and Technical Labour to L&I Electrical P/L and their customers. To Australian Standards AS/NZS 61439.1:2016. In the company workshop and on-site (client premises), undertake the assembling, installing, testing, servicing, modifying, and repairing of Electrical switchboards and Motor Control Centres, to ensure that all work complies with current statutory regulations, safety requirements and Client minimal standards. Ensuring all activities undertaken in accordance with applicable legal requirements, Australian Standards and Statutory Regulations. AS/NZS 61439.1:2016 & State SIR rules. Ensuring compliance with specifications, codes, or customer requirements by directing or coordinating installation, manufacturing, construction, maintenance, documentation, support or testing activities, Assisting Electrical Engineers and Project Managers in ensuring designs comply with current statutory regulations and Standards. Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications Recognized Trade Certificate or Cert. III in Electrical / Electronic Trade (or equivalent), or Cert. III in Electrical Fitting / Switchgear License. Minimum 4 years relevant experience in building and manufacturing switchboards, Motor control centres, control panels and distribution boards. Experience across inspection, test and commissioning switchboards and associated items. Excellent communication and technical expertise in electrical engineering Strong Microsoft Windows and Office skills Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team Solutions-based mindset.
