The Company & Site You'll be joining a well-established mining operation known for looking after its people and investing in its workforce. Mobile coverage and Wi-Fi throughout the camp. The Role & Duties As an underground Auto Electrician, you'll work alongside experienced trades maintaining and supporting a modern mining fleet. The role offers variety, hands-on work, and exposure to quality systems and equipment. Key responsibilities include: Electrical diagnostics, fault finding, repairs, and maintenance on mining and support equipment. Attending breakdowns and completing planned maintenance tasks. Working with electrical systems including wiring, sensors, control systems, and onboard electronics. Starting in the workshop and progressing to field service underground once trained and signed off. Exposure to OEM equipment such as Sandvik, CAT, Normet, and Elphinstone. Travel & Roster This role offers a structured FIFO setup designed to keep work-life balance front of mind. FIFO from Cairns, Brisbane, or Townsville via commercial flights. Short bus transfer from airport to site. 8:6 or 7:7 roster across days and nights. Camp accommodation and meals fully provided. Your Skills & Experience To be successful in this role, you'll bring a solid auto electrical background and a safety-first mindset. You'll ideally have: Auto Electrical trade qualification (Cert III or equivalent). Experience working on some heavy mobile equipment (mining, civil, quarry, or similar). Mining experience is helpful but not essential. Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills. Ability to work well within a team and follow site safety systems.
