Job Description About the opportunity Located within the Provost portfolio, the Online Strategy Unit is driving the creation and implementation of a transformative vision for online education programming through strategic leadership and oversight of the growth and expansion of the University’s online learning programs. Building on Griffith’s already well-recognised synchronous and hybrid online offerings, the Unit is developing a suite of degrees in partnership with all Academic Groups, Student Support Services and Digital Solutions for delivery in a cutting edge, high quality, technology-enabled and student-focused learning design model. This position will play a key role in the development of fully online degrees and supporting learning designers and academic staff working on these courses and programs. Key Responsibilities With direction from the leadership team ensure the efficient and effective support of learning designers and academic staff in their development of fully online programs and courses. Work closely with Learning Designers to engage in defined activities that support academics in the increased, enhanced, and appropriate use of ICTs to achieve pedagogical outcomes. Support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of a quality management systems, policies, procedures, and work instructions, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, university policies and best practice guidelines. Develop and maintain a sound working knowledge of University technologies for learning and teaching, curriculum design and multi-modal delivery. Review, develop and implement procedures and business improvement practices and initiatives related to OSU projects. Coordinate small-scale projects to enable the efficient and effective support of academic staff in their work on OSU projects. Leverage experience to recommend and assist with the design, development and enhancement of courses and programs in OSU projects, including the development, implementation and evaluation of relevant resources. May be required to take on other responsibilities, commensurate with the expectations of a role at this level, which contribute to the overall objectives of the work unit. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and University policies and procedures, including equity and health & safety and exhibit good practice in relation to same. As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other campuses. Salary is HEW 6 – Base range - $91,843.49 - $97,964.71 17% super. Full package range - $107,456.89 - $114,618.72.
