About the role: As the Senior Administrative Officer, Finance and Assurance, you will provide high level professional support to the Chief Financial Officer, and at times the Finance and Assurance leadership team to ensure that the division operates in an efficient and effective manner. You will build and maintain collaborative relationships across the University, ensuring the administration and accuracy of key information and communication channels, and act as the primary point of contact for internal and external communications on behalf of the Chief Financial Officer. As a Senior Administrative Officer, Finance and Assurance, you will: Provide high-level executive support to the Chief Financial Officer and Finance and Assurance Leadership Team, including proactive diary management, stakeholder liaison, issue resolution and negotiation of outcomes. Ensure the smooth operation of the Office of the CFO through timely, professional communication and the effective coordination and maintenance of administrative processes, systems and procedures. Act as the primary point of contact for the Office of the CFO, prioritising and managing urgent and sensitive matters to support timely decision-making. Coordinate and provide secretariat support for Finance and Assurance Leadership Team meetings, committees and events, including agendas, minutes, scheduling and follow-up actions. Support governance and reporting requirements by monitoring deadlines, coordinating preparatory meetings and approvals, and ensuring timely and accurate information. Contribute to division-wide projects and foster a collaborative, inclusive and engaged culture across Finance and Assurance. To be successful, you’ll have: A Degree and / or relevant administrative experience; or An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training in administration and related activities in a large organisation with complex administrative structures, policies and procedures. Proven stakeholder engagement and management (face to face, verbal and written) experience across all levels of an organisation. Experience of handling sensitive situations, recognising confidential issues and dealing with them appropriately and with discretion. Calendar management experience.
